Goodbye

Why did I say goodbye,

Did I really let her go.

Was it all a dream,

That I would never know.

Could I have tried much harder,

Is there another way.

Or did I really love,

Which is the least I would say.

I did just let her go,

Knowing what it would bring.

I did not even hate her,

But I never truly loved.

No that can’t be right,

I did truly love her.

I may have let her slip away,

But I knew I’d always love her.

Just Wasn’t in that way…
